Selwood academy
Selwood became an Academy on 1st December 2011, which means we benefit from having more autonomy over our budget and will be able to maximise spending to fully develop the learning potential of each child, with the emphasis being on learning in its widest sense i.e. intellectually, socially, behaviourally, emotionally, culturally and morally.
Becoming an academy does not alter our ethos one iota: we are still committed to our mantra ‘Each child is my child’ and we are justly proud of still being the only Anglican and Methodist middle school in the country.
We hope you find this website useful for finding out relevant information about the school, including important messages to parents, articles, policies and photographs that give you an insight into Selwood Academy.
We always welcome feedback about our website, whether this is about useful links or suggestions for extra information you would like about the school.
Selwood Academy can only achieve the best for its pupils when we work in partnership with the community we serve.
Happy browsing.
